Hi I love your blog and all the posts I have read so far. I like this one and I pray I am hsopitable wherever I am especially when I have my own home!

I remember the story of Abraham entertaining angels without knowing it, and the Bible tells us to do the same. I guess our credo should be to treat pips the way we want to be treated!

Ill definitely be back to read more posts.

Men….these are the things that make me happy to be nigerian. It was blurred family/friend lines that got me through my 4 years in college when I first moved here from naija. I really thank God for those fiends and thir parents. Have a gd week!

I can relate to most of the things you wrote, and I wanna say thanks for this; its making me appreciative of visitors/guests that have turned into family. Sometimes, we find family in people not related to us by blood, whereas the blood relations are nothing to write home about. Now, I will have to reflect and thank God for all the adopted brothers and sisters and parents that I have had in my life. thanks GNG and have a wonderful weekend

That is naija style for you…while growing up we were constantly hosting guests in my house…i cant even remember having my room to myself for more than a month….my mom is the most accommodating person, s…me on the other hand grumbled constantly about giving up my bed et cetera and she'd be like "its not like they are going to be here forvever"..I hope i can be like that when i grow up sa cos i tell ya i am not the most accommodating person o!Right now sef i have a family friend in my apartment and i am mad as hell..i wont even lie….i dont even talk to her like that..seen her only 4x in my life o.She said she was staying over for a night or two days..and a day before she came she was telling me she will be with me for two weeks!I am sa angry.. but i am not showing it sa (i hope am not)

that's wat family is about really, knowing that its OK to stay over even witout asking, whenever u choose to, without any form of hostility from ur hosts.

Though personally, i will ask if its OK before I stay over, i like to be ensure I'm not causing any inconveniences.

Sometimes, we find in ‘strangers’ that heart warming feeling that only family can bring.

I live in Nigeria with extended family member only a bus ride away yet I cannot say that with all of them we share such a familiar cosy relationship.

With you dear, I must therefore be grateful for those friends who have crossed the lines of mere friendship to becoming close family members! They are truly heaven sent!
