Thankful Thursdays – the G edition

Did anyone notice that our very own aloted babe issued a challenge and then she herself hasn’t done it yet? I think she mentioned somewhere that she’d do it next week, sha, but I still had to make sure she knows that I noticed her slacker ways. However, I bet she’s one of those people whose general cuteness lets her get away with anything and everything!

Anyway, her challenge was to name things that you’re thankful for this week that begin with the letter of your “name”, so in my case, G. This is not going to be easy.

I am thankful for the generosity of my family and friends. From buying me my favourite donut (I know, this ijekuje must stop!) and a warm drink to giving me a coffee table and spare vacuum to taking the time to listen to me panic on the phone and giving excellent advice, to wanting to help me get fully settled my place, my friends and family have really been there for me and I appreciate it.

And of course, I’m thankful for God, namely his existence. I was talking to one of the men I never dated a few hours ago, and he’ll be getting married in a few weeks. He has such faith in God, believes so strongly and also steps out of his comfort zone (for example moving across the country to pursue a job best suited to his education). He does his part and trusts things to work out. It honestly seems as if he never wavers, while I’m always wavering and not trusting with everything in my heart. One day I’ll get to that level I hope. It would sure ease the anxiety that threatens to disrupt my peace.

I’m thankful for goodnaijagirl.com (the blog) because I have met so many wonderful bloggers and non-bloggers through it. I’d love to meet some of these people in person though!

Hmm, this is harder than I thought! Instead of putting random things that start with the letter G that I might be grateful for, I’ll instead think on it and see if anything else comes to mind.

I do so envy the London bloggers and their meetings. I remember I was on a Nigerian forum that had a lot of UK members and they all met each other too.

You're right: ijekuje is basically junkfood, and in my case it's sweets that get me! God help me! :)

Thanks for your kind words and I hope your weekend was good too.
